Use the Lux Vital during daylight hours to support a healthy circadian rhythm. Hold the device about 6" to 8" away from the body to allow the light from the device to blend fully. Pass the device over your body, keeping it in constant motion to avoid excess heat buildup.
If the device paces over your face, close your eyes tightly. NEVER gaze into the device, even with eye protection.
As with any new stimuli, it's best to start small and work up to a level that your body responds well to. We recommend starting with a 2 minute session, spread over your whole body, and work up from there. Most people find their ideal dose to be within 5-15 minutes. This will vary based on many factors including skin type, diet, and your existing relationship with the sun. More is not always better, listen to your body, and find what works best for you.
Great Question! The Lux Vital should only be used when the sun is up. The opsins this device stimulates are major drivers of a natural circadian rhythm and would never be stimulated after dark in nature.

Light below about 400nm and above about 700nm is invisible to the human eye. It's totally normal to not see all of the LEDs lit on your device. The LEDs in your Lux Vital are rated for at least 30,000 hours of life and if treated with care, the device is expected to last many many years.
Please don't gaze into your device. To further verify function, an inexpensive wall watt meter like the 'kill-a-watt" device can help you verify ~210 watts of power are drawn.
With proper care and handling, avoiding excess twisting and bending of the power cord, the device is expected to last a lifetime. The LEDs are rated to over 30,000 hours, even with 30 minutes of use a day, the expected life of the LEDs is well over 30 years.
