We combined the concentrated Red and Near-Infrared power of the Ironforge with the broad-spectrum opsin activation of the Lux Vital and the narrowband UVB precision of the D-Light to create a single, cohesive tool for total light optimization.
Trinity delivers multiple wavelengths of light across the visible, near-infrared, and ultraviolet spectrum. Red and near-infrared are included as part of the overall light composition. Violet, cyan, and UVA fall within ranges known to interact with nonvisual photoreceptors involved in light perception. Narrowband UVB at 297nm is included to provide exposure within the range associated with the body’s natural vitamin D pathway, presented alongside red and near-infrared for balanced spectral coverage.

How do I use the Trinity?
IRONFORGE MODE - Deep Red & Near-Infrared
Turn the Trinity on - this mode is active by default. Use it from sunrise to up to 1–2 hours before bed. Hold it directly on the skin, moving to prevent heat buildup. Sweep evenly over the body for 2–5 minutes. Prepares your body for daylight and supports recovery.
LUX VITAL MODE - Cyan, Violet & UVA
Press the gold button to activate daylight mode. Use in the morning to mid-afternoon only - never after sunset. Hold the light 6–8 inches from the skin, continuously moving. Sweep across the body for 2–4 minutes. Use at the same time each day for the best circadian effect.
D-LIGHT MODE — Narrowband UVB
Put on your UV-protective glasses and make sure there are no on-lookers. Press the black button to start. Each press adds 30 seconds (up to 300 seconds total). Use at midday - again never after sunset. Keep it 6 inches away and focus on the torso, arms and legs, moving constantly for even coverage.
Avoid the face and stop immediately if skin feels hot or irritated.

Can all 3 modes of the Trinity be used at the same time?
Yes. Trinity is designed to allow multiple light modes to operate at the same time as part of its overall spectral output.
Ironforge Mode (Red & Near Infrared)
Ironforge Mode is active whenever the device is powered on. It provides a consistent red and near-infrared baseline that remains present as other wavelength bands are introduced. This mode serves as the foundational component of Trinity’s light output architecture.
Lux Vital Mode (Violet, Cyan, UVA) and D-Light Mode (UVB)
Lux Vital Mode and D-Light Mode can be activated individually or together, adding additional wavelength ranges to the existing red and near-infrared output. When enabled, these modes expand the overall spectrum to more closely resemble the natural variation of sunlight encountered from morning through midday.
Lux Vital and D-Light Modes are not designed to operate independently of Ironforge Mode. Red and near-infrared wavelengths remain present whenever these modes are active, maintaining a consistent spectral context. These wavelength combinations are consistent with those used in the original Lux Vital and D-Light devices.
Is the Trinity safe for daily use?
Yes, when used as directed. The Red/NIR and UVA/Violet outputs are within safe, well-studied limits.
Always wear UV-protective glasses during Lux Vital and D-light modes, and never look into the light directly.
Is red light therapy actually proven to work?
Yes. Thousands of peer-reviewed studies confirm the benefits of Red and Near-Infrared light for cellular repair, inflammation reduction, and tissue recovery. The Trinity delivers these wavelengths at a biologically meaningful intensity, comparable to the Red/NIR portion of real sunlight.
What are Opsins?
Opsins are light-sensitive proteins found in various cells throughout the body, not just in the eyes. They respond to different wavelengths of light and help regulate a very wide range of biological processes, like sleep-wake cycles, mood, metabolism, memory, and even skin health. When you use your Lux Vital, the specific light wavelengths it emits are designed to activate these opsins, helping to promote better health and well-being by leveraging your body's natural light-responsive systems. So, while you're enjoying the familiar sunlight feeling of the Lux Vital, you're actually engaging with deep biological functions that contribute to your overall vitality.
What’s the difference between UVA and UVB?
UVA (Lux Vital Mode) targets opsins (OPN3 & OPN5) that regulate several bodily functions associated with vitality.
UVB (D-light Mode) emits a wavelength range associated with the body’s natural vitamin D pathway through skin exposure.
Trinity gives you both safely balanced with potent Red and NIR to minimize any UV stress.
What makes the Trinity different from other light therapy devices?
The Trinity combines three biologically critical light spectra, Red/NIR, Violet/UVA, and narrowband UVB into one potent device. Most panels or lamps isolate just one range of light. The Trinity reproduces the natural sequence of the sun’s daily cycle: red and NIR at sunrise, UVA and violet through the morning, and UVB at solar noon. This sequencing matters because it aligns with how your body evolved to receive light.
How does the power of the Trinity compare to other Chroma devices?
In the Ironforge mode, you’re getting the same concentrated Red/NIR output as the standalone Ironforge (200W). However, while there is still have a substantial NIR output, we have skewed the focus slightly towards Red to balance the Violet, UVA and UVB in the other two channels better at the surface of the skin.
The classic Ironforge device is primarily focused on deep tissue work and recovery, with more focus on NIR. The Ironforge mode in the Trinity is still good for this use case, however if recovery is your primary/sole focus it does still make sense to own an Ironforge as someone who is a sports medicine physician, chiropractor, PT etc.
In the Lux Vital mode, you will get significantly more Red & NIR then the original Lux Vital since the total output is now closer to 300W. The only difference will be slightly less Cyan and Violet (which overlaps with the UVA peak either way).
In D-light mode, UVB output is slightly reduced (~10–15%) while maintaining the same biological effectiveness for vitamin D synthesis.
All three channels can be activated together for a close to full-spectrum midday sun exposure that feels remarkably close to natural sunlight.
Can the Trinity replace real sunlight?
No, nothing can. However the Trinity bridges the gap between natural and indoor light environments. It’s the next best thing to consistent, full-spectrum sunlight.
How long should I use the Trinity each day?
Start small and adjust based on how you feel:
Ironforge mode: 2–5 minutes for targeted recovery, up to 10 minutes for full-body use.
Lux vital mode: 2–4 minutes, morning to mid-afternoon only. Never after sunset.
D-light mode: 30–120 seconds, midday preferred. Start with 30 seconds total and increase gradually.
Consistency matters more than duration, use it around the same time each day to align your internal rhythm.
When is the best time of day to use each mode?
Morning: Ironforge mode - think sunrise.

This sequence mirrors the natural arc of sunlight from dawn to noon, helping restore circadian alignment and hormonal balance.
Why can’t I use Lux Vital or D-Light modes at night?
These modes signal your body that it’s daytime. Using them after sunset will delay melatonin release and push your circadian rhythm later making it harder to fall asleep.
If you want evening light therapy, stick with Ironforge mode only and stop all exposure 1-2 hours before bed.
Do I need to use it on bare skin?
For best results, yes.
Red/NIR and UVB both perform best on bare skin.
Thin fabrics can let some red light through, but UVA, violet, and UVB will not penetrate clothing effectively.
Keep treated areas uncovered for maximum biological impact.
Why does the Trinity have a CBC faceplate and why is it important?
The Trinity features a CBC (Clear Bio-Compatible) faceplate, a proprietary material transmissive to UVA and UVB while diffusing output for safety and even coverage.
It allows full-spectrum light including UV to pass through efficiently without the hot spots or glare common in open-face designs.

Can the Trinity cause tanning or sunburn?
It’s not designed for tanning. Overuse, however, can still cause redness similar to mild sun exposure. Start slow and stay within recommended dose times.
Is the Trinity safe for eyes with proper protection?
Yes. Each device includes certified UV-blocking glasses. Always wear them when using Lux Vital or D-light modes. Everyone in the room must wear protection when UVB is active. Even with glasses, never look directly at the light source.
Is the Trinity portable? Can I travel with it?
Yes. Every Trinity comes with a travel case roughly the size of a small briefcase. Simply throw it your car and enjoy powerful wide spectrum light therapy where ever life takes you. Whether you’re on the road for work or leisure your routine doesn’t need to pause.
Can I use the Trinity worldwide?
Yes. The power supply supports 110–260V AC. Just use a simple plug adapter for your region. The power draw (≈310W) remains consistent globally.
Some of the LEDs do not turn on, is my device broken?
Light below about 400nm and above about 700nm is invisible to the human eye. It's totally normal to not see all of the LEDs lit on your device. The LEDs in your Trinity are rated for at least 30,000 hours of life and if treated with care, the device is expected to last many many years.
Please don't gaze into your device. To further verify function, an inexpensive wall watt meter like the 'kill-a-watt" device can help you verify ~310 watts of power are drawn.
How long will it take to get my order?
It depends on where you are. Orders processed here will take 5-7 business days to arrive. Overseas deliveries can take anywhere from 7-16 days. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.
How long is the Trinity expected to last?
With proper care and handling, avoiding excess twisting and bending of the power cord, the device is expected to last a lifetime. The LEDs are rated to over 30,000 hours, even with 30 minutes of use a day, the expected life of the LEDs is well over 30 years.
