Terms of Service
Last updated: 10/30/2026 Questions: hello@getchroma.co
Welcome to Chroma. We're glad you're here. Before you use our site or our products, please take a moment to review these Terms of Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Chroma website and purchasing our products, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Refund Policy, our Shipping Policy and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Products and Services
Chroma designs and sells light therapy and circadian lighting products, light-blocking glasses, and related accessories. The current lineup is listed at getchroma.co. Our products are intended for personal and professional use and should be used according to the instructions provided with them. Chroma products are not medical devices and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
3. Ordering and Payment
To place an order, you must provide accurate and complete information. All payments are securely processed, and we accept various payment methods. Please review our Shipping Policy for delivery times and charges.
4. Returns and Refunds
We want you to be completely satisfied with your Chroma experience. Eligible products are covered by our 100 Day Satisfaction Guarantee. Please see our Refund Policy for eligibility, condition requirements, and how to start a return.
5. Warranty
Chroma light therapy hardware is warranted against manufacturing defects, malfunction, and failure for 5 years from the date of the original purchase. Glasses, accessories, and merchandise are not covered by the 5-year warranty but are eligible for replacement if they arrive damaged or defective and the issue is reported within 30 days of delivery. Warranty coverage is separate from the 100 Day Satisfaction Guarantee. Chroma decides whether a valid warranty claim is resolved by repair, replacement, store credit, or refund. A replacement unit is covered for the remainder of the original warranty term. If the original product, model, color, or part has been discontinued or is unavailable, Chroma may provide a comparable product or part, or issue store credit for the price paid for the original item. Chroma determines what is comparable. This also applies to exchanges. Warranty coverage applies to the original purchaser and to gift recipients as described in Section 6. Products bought for resale, or bought secondhand from anyone other than Chroma or an authorized Chroma retailer, are not covered.
6. Gifts
6.1 Gift recipients. If you receive a Chroma product as a gift, the 5-year warranty and the 100 Day Satisfaction Guarantee pass to you for that product. A "gift" means a product bought new from getchroma.co or an authorized Chroma retailer and given to you without payment. A product that was sold, traded, or resold to you is not a gift.
6.2 No new clock. Coverage periods do not restart when a gift is handed over. The 100 days start on the delivery date of the original order. The warranty term runs from the original purchase date.
6.3 Proof of purchase. To make a return or warranty claim on a gift, the recipient must give us enough information to locate the original order, such as the order number or the purchaser's name and email address. Chroma may ask for additional verification, including confirmation from the original purchaser and a device serial number where one is present. Chroma may decline a claim it cannot match to an original order.
6.4 Gift refunds. Refunds are issued only to the original payment method on the original order. A gift recipient who returns a product under the 100 Day Satisfaction Guarantee may receive Chroma store credit in their own name instead, for the amount that would have been refunded, if the original purchaser confirms. Once store credit is issued for an item, no refund will be issued for that item. If the original payment is disputed or charged back, Chroma may cancel any unused store credit issued for that order. Chroma will not disclose the purchaser's payment details to a gift recipient. Store credit reflects the amount paid for the item. If the purchaser and the recipient both request a return or refund for the same product, Chroma will act on the first complete request and may require both parties to confirm.
6.5 Shipping to recipients. Return labels, replacement units, and warranty repairs are shipped to the person making the claim at the address they provide, within the regions we ship to. Return shipping terms in the Refund Policy apply.
6.6 Gifts outside the United States. Return and warranty terms follow the location the product is being returned or claimed from, not the address on the original order. Returns from Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or anywhere outside the contiguous United States and Canada follow the international terms in our Refund Policy: return shipping is not free and its cost is deducted from the refund or store credit, and customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees on the return are the sender's responsibility and are not refunded. International warranty claims are resolved by local repair where available or by a replacement shipped to the recipient's region. If we do not ship to the recipient's country, Chroma may send the replacement to an address the recipient provides in a country we serve, and any further shipping, duties, or taxes are the recipient's responsibility.
6.7 Holiday deliveries. For orders delivered between November 15 and December 31, 2026, the 30-day window to report items that arrived damaged or defective is extended to January 31, 2027.
7. Bundles
7.1 Each item stands alone. Every item in a bundle carries the warranty and satisfaction terms that apply to that item when sold individually. Items in a bundle can be returned, exchanged, or claimed under warranty one at a time. You do not have to return the whole bundle.
7.2 Splitting a bundle. You may keep some items in a bundle and give others away. Each gifted item is covered for its recipient under Section 6. Each item's coverage periods run from the original order, no matter who holds it.
7.3 Refund amounts. The refund for an item returned from a bundle is the price paid for that item as shown on the order, after any discount applied to it. Taxes are refunded as required by law. Shipping charges and Shipping Protection fees are not refunded on partial returns.
7.4 Free items. Items included in a bundle at no charge (for example glasses or apparel) have no cash value and are not refundable. Free items are provided only with the paid items that qualified the order for them. If you return any of those paid items, you must also return the free items in like-new condition, or their regular retail price will be deducted from your refund. Chroma may cancel any order, or remove free items from it, if the order does not include the qualifying paid items, exceeds a per-customer limit, or appears automated or fraudulent. A free item that arrives damaged or defective will be replaced under the 30-day window in Section 5.
7.5 Items outside the guarantee. If a bundle includes a product that is not eligible for the 100 Day Satisfaction Guarantee, that product stays outside the guarantee when bought in a bundle. It is still covered by any warranty that applies to it.
7.6 Return shipping. Free return shipping eligibility under the Refund Policy is based on the value of the original order, not the value of the items being returned. Returns from outside the contiguous United States and Canada do not qualify for free return shipping (see Section 6.6).
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Chroma website, including text, images, graphics, and logos, is protected by intellectual property rights. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content without prior written permission from Chroma.
9. Limitation of Liability
Chroma is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with our products or services. Our responsibility for any product is limited to the amount paid for it.
10. Privacy
We take your privacy seriously. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. When a gift recipient contacts us, we use the purchaser's order information only to verify and process the claim.
11. Our Discretion and Changes to These Terms
We aim to resolve every return and claim fairly, and we may choose to go beyond these terms in an individual case. Doing so once does not waive our right to apply these terms in another case. Where a situation is not addressed by these terms, or the remedy described cannot reasonably be provided, Chroma may resolve the return, exchange, or claim with a repair, a comparable product, store credit, or a refund, at its discretion. We may update these terms at any time. The version in effect on the date of your order applies to that order.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the United States.
